FEATURED PROJECT: Stationery Kit

PROJECT:  Logo creation and complete stationery design for a new company with just 1 employee - the owner.  1 marketing piece and a Twitter background, too. GOAL: Create an identity that suggests that the company "tames chaos" in her clients' (busy business professionals) lives.  Must be very complete, clean and professional as it is an example of how she will represent her clients to their clients. PROCESS:  Multiple meetings with client to understand audience, go over her ideas, goals, likes and dislikes, how she would like to be perceived in the market place, budget and time-line.  Present 5 logo options, using one of those options within each of the stationery pieces.  Tweak design and color selection.  Select paper.  Print. RESULTS: The art department at Highlight Printing created a beautiful, professional design that is modern but not trendy, and does a great job of looking professional and "clean"...not cluttered.  The paper is simple and white and the green "money" color is a nice balanced contrast.  The client decided to print everything she would need at once, thereby giving her the full "branded" package to communicate with her clients and going easy on the budget by batching everything. NOTES:  This project was especially gratifying because we were literally part of the launching of her business and the shaping of her business communications.  And in this often commoditized industry, working with this client was even more rewarding than it would have been because she understands and places value on the creative and production process.  I have the pleasure of imagining her using her printed materials in a meeting or mailing, and being proud of the part we had in it.
